“One of my most rewarding experiences I have had is helping a young child see for the first time. Often children do not know that they could be seeing better and to watch them experience clear vision for the first time is very rewarding and exciting. I know I made the right decision in pursuing this career path when patients I have seen in the past come back to tell me that they are very happy with their new glasses or that I fixed a problem they were having with an old prescription. I love seeing patients that are referred to me by their friends or relatives because they felt I provided a thorough exam. If I wasn't an optometrist, I feel I would have still pursued a career in the medical field in some other discipline. Being able to help my patients is what I love most about my career and I definitely love the challenge that comes every time I walk into the exam room.”
