Kathleen Leone, M.D., F.A.C.S. is a board-certified LASIK and cataract surgeon at Eye Associates of Wilmington and has practiced in Wilmington since 1998. She graduated cum laude from the Georgetown University School of Medicine.

A Lieutenant Commander in the U.S. Navy, Dr. Leone served eight years of active duty before joining the Wilmington medical community. She served at Bethesda Naval Hospital, Guam Naval Hospital and with the marines at Camp Lejeune Naval Hospital.

She is a fellow of the American Academy of Ophthalmology and the American College of Surgeons. She began performing refractive surgery in 1995, and has been awarded certifications in iLASIK, CustomVue® Intralase® laser vision correction as well as Visian ICL™ implantable collamer lens insertion.

Dr. Leone specializes in cataract surgery using the latest intraocular lens technology. One of her goals in performing cataract surgery is to provide the patient with clear vision once again.
