Amanda Britt, O.D. — Optometry, Glaucoma Treatment
Amanda Britt, O.D. is originally from Wilmington, NC. She received her undergraduate degree from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill, were she obtained a Bachelor of Science degree in Biology. Before attending optometry school, she worked in research at Research Triangle Institute in Durham, NC. She received her doctorate of optometry from Pennsylvania College of Optometry (now named Salus University). Her externships were completed at The Eye Institute in Philadelphia and at the VA Medical Center in Salisbury, NC. She also completed a residency at the VA Medical Center in Johnson City, TN with emphasis in ocular disease. Before joining Eye Associates of Wilmington, she worked in private practice in Wake Forest and Raleigh, NC. She currently works closely with Dr. Ochsner on the glaucoma team and also does routine vision care, post-operative care, and emergency care.
Dr. Britt has a deep and genuine concern for her patients who have become like family to her. She loves her cats and fishing with her husband off the NC coast when she is not playing tennis.
